HER TALKS | Calming the Noise - Neurofeedback for Brain Health and Wellness

  • HER Kitchen 1442 Hertel Avenue Buffalo, NY, 14216 United States (map)

A monthly gathering designed to create space for real conversations, meaningful connections, and shared wisdom — each featuring inspiring women who are shaping the wellness landscape.

Join Sue as she sits down with these women as they share their story. They will talk about what it is they practice, why they do what they do, and how that can bring more wellness to YOUR life.

Each month will feature a curated menu of small bites from HER Kitchen, thoughtfully designed to complement the evening’s theme. We highlight ingredients with wellness benefits in mind to truly nourish you from the inside out.

Calming the Noise -  Neurofeedback for Brain Health and Wellness

Life is stressful. Trauma traps the brain in fight-or-flight, even long after the danger is gone.

IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback helps your brain reset — restoring calm, clarity, and resilience.

When your brain resets, everything changes:

  • Clearer thinking

  • Faster recovery from stress and fatigue

  • Stronger emotional regulation

  • Lasting relief from trauma, anxiety, and PTSD

WHEN: July 16th, 6pm

Meet Mind & Body Family Health Center’s owner and founder, Theresa Horab, RN

Theresa is a Registered Nurse of 30+ years, born and raised in Buffalo, New York. She had a rewarding career of 20 years as an RN with Children’s Hospital of Buffalo where she worked in the high-risk labor and delivery unit, the operating room, and poison control. Theresa also held educational positions within the hospital including poison control outreach educator for Western New York. During her time with Children’s, Theresa also traveled with an international supplement company focused on natural products and living a proactive, healthy lifestyle.

In 2014, Theresa made the decision to take all of her knowledge, experience, and ongoing education to create an opportunity for people to have access to safe, effective, non-invasive, non-drug healthcare approaches through cutting edge, high-tech, high-touch modalities. However, it wasn’t until the following year in 2015 when she discovered IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback (MCN) in hopes to help her own family.

Not only was MCN successful in helping her family, but it would soon became the pillar of our services at Mind & Body Family Health Center. It was through these experiences as a mother that Theresa grew a deeply rooted desire to bring IASIS MCN to the Western New York region in hopes to give back to the community through alternative care and MCN treatments.

As a Certified IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback Provider and Trainer, Theresa has welcomed the opportunity to nationally and internationally travel to educate and train other healthcare professionals from all around the world who are looking to implement IASIS MCN into their own practice. This has cultivated into a culture of individuals who are devoted to helping others through compassionate, professional, integrative healthcare.

Over the last several years, Theresa has continued to expand her presence in the alternative healthcare field by focusing on attending conferences and trainings presented by leading experts from around the world in the areas of integrative medicine for mental health, environmental medicine, functional medicine, integrative medicine, regenerative medicine, and photobiomodulation.
